Me Marie-Thérèse Copti possesses academic background and professional experience in business law.

Me Copti graduated from the University of Montreal where she received both of her diplomas: a Bachelor in Economic Sciences (1994) and a Bachelor in Law (1996). After successfully succeeding her exams at the Quebec Bar (1996-1997) and completing her training in a law firm in Montreal, Me Marie-Thérèse Copti received her professional title and the right to exercise law in the Province of Quebec (Canada) in 1998.

Since 1998, Me Copti has worked in different law firms located in downtown Montreal. Her professional practise is specialized in corporate financing in technology: draft and review of legal banking documents, corporate searches, guaranties registration, due diligence, etc. In addition, Me Copti collaborated with lawyers specialized in Intellectual Property and Trade-Marks Agents, she was therefore able to expand her expertise in legal advice in Intellectual Property, drafting of legal Contracts in Copyright matters, licenses, assignment of rights, etc. As a Trade-Marks Agent, she proceeds with Trademarks searches, analyzing search reports, file the application and associated follow-up for the Trade-Marks in Canada. She also give legal and business advice in Corporate law, as well as in preparing provincial and federal incorporation, legal researches and opinions, review and/or draft Shareholders’ Agreements and related matters. Finally, Me Copti also prepares various kinds of contracts, including wills.

In 2006, at the same time Me Copti opened her law firm, she was involved with the Montreal Young Bar Association as a writer and a corrector of various documents regarding Intellectual Property. In 2008, Me Copti took part in the Salon Visez Droit organized by the Quebec Bar for the general public.
